Sunset is my favorite color
We always love the opportunity when we get asked to design for Portland Bride & Groom! It gets Kayla and myself out of our comfort zone and thinking outside the box. This last issue we were able to design for the reception spread. We picked a desert sunset vibe, it was fun to play with colors that we don’t normally work with!
The first piece that helped inspire this shoot was the fun patterned La Tavola table runner. This was a great way to bring in a bold pattern and break up the softness of the color palette. We loved showcasing how a bold pattern can still look romantic while bringing a unique element to your tablescape.
There was an awesome masculine vibe with this shoot. We definitely played on that while designing the lounge area. The floral here was next level! It felt very inviting and comfortable while still feeling luxurious.
Cat with Sewell Sweets literally put our inspiration board on these cakes. It was incredible how she was able to hand paint these details. Her sugar flowers and cactus are so beautiful and really bring this whole look together.
This was such a fun experience and we hope this shoot inspires you as much as it inspired us!! Check out the full spread and all the other amazing vendor in the latest issue of Portland Bride & Groom!
