On the blog today is a beautiful styled shoot inspired by the color blue.
The CK team always loves a chance to jump on board an inspiration shoot because it gives us the opportunity for us to think outside the box. Amber approached us about this blue artist design that she had thought up. We were immediately ready to start collaborating with the other vendors! We have been slacking on sharing this gorgeous shoot and figured that it was time to share!
There is something so dreamy about the color blue.
It has a very dark and moody aspect to it but also there is a touch of romance with it and we have to say that the photography duo from Ellie Asher perfectly captured the sensualness and romance of the scene.
Amber thought of paintings like Dutch master paintings like Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, the revolutionary monochromatic works by Ives Klein, and the intricate patterns in Hmong batik fabrics, and the purity and depth of the sky. She imagined a simple, romantic and sensual wedding designed for an artistic couple; as if they decided to wed in their painting studio.
The venue boasts tall ceilings exposed brick walls, and large windows that let natural light stream in through gauzy curtains. Perfectly emulating an artist’s studio loft space.
Seeds of Clay incorporated the “artist’s hand” through watercolor accents within the invitation suite and in a custom backdrop for the sweetheart table.
Their Floral designs were wild, lush and romantic.
An inviting lounge featured bohemian patterns, rich textures and a custom backdrop featuring an empty frame and sprays of flowers and vines.
